BORP Kicks-Off the Paralympics in Style with Community Watch Party

We are still reminiscing about our Paralympic Opening Ceremonies Watch Party in partnership with the Center for Independent Living and the Northern California Olympian & Paralympian Association last Wednesday. The watch party was offered both in person and virtually and both ran successfully with a great turnout! We had a blast playing games, eating pizza, and cheering on the USA. We also had the honor of being joined by four Olympians and two Paralympians including our very own Paralympian board member and fitness instructor Nate Perkins who competed in shotput and discus at the1996 Atlanta Paralympics! NBC even came to get some footage for the nightly news! We’re so glad everyone had a great time; don’t forget to watch the rest of the Paralympics which will be running until September 8th!

A group of 6 paralympians and olympians are lined up smiling at the camera, four in their wheelchairs and two kneeling.
