BORP will soon add a kayaking program at the Adaptive Cycling Center (located at Berkeley’s Aquatic Park). To prepare, Leo Siecienski, our inventive and ingenious cycling program manager, created a kayak that can be pedaled–with legs or arms.
With our adaptive boat launch and a new electric lift, getting in and out of the boat is easy. Now everyone can get on the water!
More program details coming soon. In the meantime, check out the video above in which BORP’s Bonnie Lewkowicz tests the new kayak. Look, no paddle!
