Power Soccer
A Fun and Accessible Team Sport
Power Soccer is a competitive team sport for power wheelchair users. With rules that are similar to outdoor soccer, the game is played in a gymnasium on a regulation basketball court. Combining the skill of the person with the speed and power of the chair, this is a fun and accessible sport.
Participants include people with quadriplegia, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, and other disabilities. BORP teams compete locally, regionally, and nationally.
BORP’s power soccer program is mixed gender and open to participants of all ages. Participants enjoy the challenge of playing a team sport, develop new skills and friendships, and become connected with BORP’s larger community.
