Pickleball

Pickleball for All

Pickleball is one of the nation’s fastest growing sports and the adaptive version is proving to be equally popular! An engaging mix of tennis and ping-pong – pickleball is simple to learn and offers plenty of fun for experts and novices alike.

Adaptive pickleball is very similar to the standard version; the only rule change is that players in wheelchairs are allowed an extra bounce. It’s a very inclusive activity because people with and without disabilities can play together.

BORP’s Adaptive Pickleball community meets weekly at the outdoor pickleball courts of James Kenney Community Center. We’re also partnering with Craneway Pavilion which is providing Adaptive Pickleball Coaching from 5-6PM on Wednesdays! Players, family members, and volunteers of any age, experience and skill level are welcome. Pickleball is a wheelchair and quad friendly sport.
