Wheelchair Basketball
Fitness, Friendship, Fun
Wheelchair basketball is a fast-paced team sport that challenges participants to improve their fitness, refine their skills, and have a lot of fun in the process. Participants often forge lasting friendships and make strong connections with the larger BORP community.
Anyone with a lower limb disability is encouraged to join us, regardless of athletic experience or skill. The program is mixed gender, supportive, and welcoming. We have weekly practices taking place in both Berkeley and San Francisco,
Sessions start with skill drills and are followed by a friendly pick-up game. BORP provides basketball wheelchairs for participants, if needed. Interested participants can also join the BORP All Stars, our adult basketball team, which competes in the California/Nevada League or the BORP Bay Area Ballerz, our DIII team that competes nationally (for more experienced players).
