Volunteer at the REV!

Be a volunteer – there are over 50 important volunteer roles we need to fill, such as: being at rest stops on the route (excellent group volunteer activity); being a sweep rider; helping with registration; trail safety and signage; supporting fun times at the festival, body work, etc. Uber volunteers will take on organizing large to-dos (e.g., deploying volunteers to set up the rest stops). None of it is complicated. Volunteers are the magic ingredient to the REV’s success! Join the fun and get a free t-shirt!   Email RevRide@borp.org or visit borp.ivolunteer.com for more info about volunteering at the REV.

There are many volunteer roles that are crucial to the REV

The Revolution couldn’t happen without the help of our amazing volunteers. Volunteer shifts range from two hours up to as many as a volunteer is willing to work!  All volunteers who complete at least one shift are eligible to receive a Revolution t-shirt, admission to the Festival, and the knowledge that their contribution makes a real difference to the event and to BORP.   We are extremely grateful for the assistance of our volunteers!

Volunteer Positions

There are 2 general categories of volunteers: 1) folks who are out on the course, and 2) folks running the event.

  • Volunteers who are out on the course supporting the riders:
  • Rest Stop Volunteers

Cheer on the riders, give them water and food. Fun for a crowd of folks who want to volunteer and have a party at the same time. Rest stops offer riders a safe place to take a brief rest, grab a snack, use the restroom,
and chat with each other. Rest stop volunteers are crucial. There are 2 rest stops, and the day is split into 2 shifts.

  • Course Flagger Volunteers

Flaggers direct riders at critical or hazardous intersections. Your job is to ensure they have a safe and fun ride, and to cheer them on! Course volunteers must be 18 years or older. We have Flagger Locations. Flaggers work in pairs.

  • Bike Sweeps

Are the last riders on each course, and help us to assure that we know where folks are on the route

  • SAG (Support and Gear) Vehicle drivers (need your own vehicle)
